Virtual Farm Tours-Pre-Registration Required

Please join us for Virtual Farm Tours at the Arlington and Lancaster Research Stations every Friday at 1 p.m. We’ll be visiting the sheep, swine, beef units as well as the farm center and feed mill. Attendees will get the opportunity to view an animal surgery suite, facilities, tractors getting ready or in the fields, baby lambs, baby calves and so much more. Click on links to pre-register. Project Lambs and Project Opportunity Please see photos of our best set of lambs ever! We were blessed this year with many lambs and a high % of males and so the quality is deep! What kind of quality? The kind that has been producing Champions at the Barron County Fair and around Northern Wisconsin for the past few years for our family and many others. The kind coming out of some of the most successful genetics in the country. Yes, we know there is much uncertainty in these times about shows and fairs but it is our belief that livestock projects are a still a great way to teach and grow kids. We believe in this project so much and that these lambs will work so well that we are going to offer a special guarantee and a special kind of show this year. 4-H Youth Livestock Project Update on COVID-19  Please read regarding information about County weigh-ins, fair animal tags, purchasing of animals, fairs and auctions (view published post here:  https://fyi.extension.wisc.edu/wi4haganimalscience/2020/03/20/4-h-youth-livestock-project-update-on-covid-19/ ) Published on  March 20, 2020  by  Joe MUELLENBERG 3/20/2020 County Weigh-Ins The University of Wisconsin Division of Extension is  requiring  all 4-H Clubs and 4-H Groups that coordinate/lead livestock weigh-ins  to postpone or cancel  these activities effective immediately.  Some counties have beef weigh-ins that should delay. In general, lamb weigh-ins are farther out on the calendar. Swine weigh-ins, in most cases, have been discontinued because of the introduction of the swine health rule.  Fairgrounds have been closed to events, and livestock markets may be closed or will not entertain that activity. Many livestock markets have made alternative modifications for prod
